● Exhaust installation method
Installing the FAB28 exhaust system requires only basic tools and knowledge.

Tools required:

  • 14mm wrench
  • 3/8 ratchet
  • 1/4" ratchet, extension, 1/2" socket
  • Spring Clip Tool
  • 15mm socket
  • 1/4 inch hex socket

procedure

1. Remove the spring clips and flanges from your existing exhaust system. Once removed, set them aside for later use (spring clip tool or needle nose pliers).

2. Remove the bottom two hex bolts.

3. Attach the mounting bracket using the Allen cap screws (1/4" hex socket) provided with the FAB28.

4. Screw the bung adapters onto the front and rear head pipes.

5. Install the existing spring clips and flanges onto the front and rear head pipes (spring clip tool or needle nose pliers).

6. Loosely install the front and rear head pipes, but do not tighten them at this stage.

7. Installing the merge collector

8. Loosely install the clamp onto the merge collector - do not tighten it.

9. Install the muffler onto the merge collector, making sure the muffler passes through the clamp.

10. Adjust the merge collector so that it is perpendicular to the ground.

11. Tighten the muffler clamp (15mm socket)

12. Tighten rear head pipe (1/2" socket)

13. Tighten the front head pipe (1/2 inch socket)

14. Finally, tighten the O2 sensor.
